A refined late 20th Century side table by Peter Ghyczy combining a sculptural metal base with a floating glass top.

The circular top is formed from a thick pane of glass, its clean edge and slight green tint providing a subtle contrast to the darker base. It is held in place by discreet brass brackets, allowing the top to appear almost suspended above the structure.

The base is cast in bronze with a warm, rich patina, consisting of three slender uprights that rise from a triangular, stepped foot. This tripod arrangement gives the table both stability and a light architectural quality, while the geometric base introduces a subtle decorative detail.

Dating from the late twentieth century, the table reflects a European modernist sensibility, where simple forms and high-quality materials are used to create pieces that are both functional and visually balanced. Its compact scale makes it well suited as a side or occasional table, while its sculptural base ensures it remains an elegant focal point.
