An elegant mid-century floor lamp in the manner of Maison Baguès, France, circa 1950s–1960s. The slender stem is executed in patinated brass and modelled in a faux-bamboo form, rising from a finely detailed tripod base. The vertical rhythm of the shaft and the organic articulation of the “bamboo” joints give the lamp a light, sculptural presence.
The lamp is topped with a white glass shade that provides a soft, diffused light, complementing the warm tones of the brass. Subtle decorative elements at the collar and base reflect the refined craftsmanship and decorative restraint associated with Maison Baguès and related French ateliers of the period.
Both decorative and functional, this floor lamp sits comfortably within mid-century, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interiors, offering an elegant accent without overpowering a space.
A sophisticated example of French mid-century lighting, combining classical influence with modern proportions.
